Nursing Education

The story theory can be used in guiding nursing students to develop skills in intentional dialogue and the use of a story path. As nursing moves toward educating greater numbers of nurses with practice doctorates, it is important to honor the wisdom found in practice stories. Story theory provides one systematic approach for viewing practice stories, where the stories create the foundation for nursing knowledge development.
